Yusuf Nasir – Bio

Yusuf Nasir is a dynamic choreographer, director, and educator whose versatility has made him a standout force in the entertainment industry. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Yusuf trained at Studio J, San Francisco School of the Arts, and the Ailey School in New York City. His career spans film, television, and stage, working with icons such as Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya, Meryl Streep, and Hugh Jackman, with performance credits in The Greatest Showman, The Prom, SpongeBob 3, and Dancing with the Stars.

As a choreographer and director, Yusuf’s credits include The Masked Singer (Seasons 1–3), BET Awards, the award-winning short film Regret to Inform You, and theatrical productions such as Once on This Island and Lily Tomlin’s Search for Signs of Intelligent Life: Revisited. A respected educator, he currently serves on faculty at AMDA Los Angeles and Joffrey West. He is a Capezio A.C.E. Awards finalist and a 2018 International Blacks in Dance Fellow.
