Tina Landon – Bio

Tina Landon is an Emmy-nominated and MTV Award-winning choreographer and creative director whose iconic work has helped define the visual language of pop music for over three decades. Born in Lancaster, California, to a Mexican-American family, she began studying jazz, ballet, and tap at a young age .

Tina's professional journey took flight as a Laker Girl in the 1980s under the direction of Paula Abdul. Her breakout came as a principal dancer in Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” video, followed by touring with Janet Jackson on the Rhythm Nation 1814 Tour. She later choreographed Janet’s Janet World Tour and The Velvet Rope Tour, earning an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Choreography .

Her choreography credits span a who’s-who of global music icons, including Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Shakira, Rihanna, Tina Turner, Prince, and Aaliyah. Notable works include Janet Jackson’s “If,” Michael and Janet Jackson’s “Scream,” Ricky Martin’s “Livin’ la Vida Loca,” and Jennifer Lopez’s “Waiting for Tonight.”

Tina is a five-time MTV Video Music Award nominee and two-time winner for Best Choreography. She also received the American Choreography Award for Mýa’s “Case of the Ex” . In 2000, she was honored with the ALMA Award for Achievement in Choreography, presented by Jennifer Lopez

Beyond her work with artists, Tina has choreographed for television shows like Will & Grace, So You Think You Can Dance, and America’s Got Talent. She continues to mentor emerging dancers through masterclasses at Millennium Dance Complex and Triple Threat Dance Convention .
